1. Bantu Motion reserves the right to be the sole interpreter of these rules. Any issue not specifically addressed within these rules will also be addressed at the sole discretion of Bantu Motion. Send any inquiries to contest@bantumotion.com.
2. Contestants must be resident in Zambia, or have been resident in Zambia within the last 12 months.
3. Contestants must submit summary entries as a Microsoft Word or plain text (*.txt) attachment to contest@bantumotion.com by no later than October 31, 2006.
4. Entries must include a one page synopsis of the story, single spaced, and the first and last chapters of the story. Chapters must be at least four pages long, single spaced.
5. All entries must include the name, physical address, email address and where possible, phone number of the contestant.
6. Contestants may choose to work as a team, but all contributing writers must be listed in the entry, and a primary contact will be designated by the contestants.
7. The story entered must be original, written completely by the contestant(s).
8. The winning contestant(s) commits to delivering the completed story by no later than March 31, 2007.
9. The completed story will include at least 100 pages of original material. Pages must be single spaced.
10. The submitted work must highlight the impact of AIDS on an individual and/or a family and/or a small community. Stories based on real events are strongly encouraged, but not mandatory.
11. The complete situational development of the story must be within a city, town, or village within Zambia.
12. The winning summary entry will be announced on December 1, 2006.
13. The winning contestant(s) will receive one new PC laptop delivered to the primary contact, upon winning the contest based on the October 31, 2006 summary entry.
14. The winning contestant(s) will receive US$500 in remuneration delivered to the primary contact for the completed story only if submitted by March 31, 2007. Bantu Motion MAY negotiate a lower rate for a late submission.
15. All tax liabilities are the sole responsibility of the contestant(s).
16. Bantu Motion will retain copyright over the winning submission.
